Harvest Seasonal Grill Launches "GIVE LOVE SERVE" to Bring Five Nights of Dinner to Local Families This November

Through GIVE. LOVE. SERVE., a new community initiative under the campaign message "Farm to Family," is partnering with local community organizations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey to provide complete, chef-prepared family dinners at participating Harvest restaurants.

Each participating location will provide local families with dinner for four for five consecutive days, relieving them of the stress of meal planning for an entire work week. In total, Harvest chefs will prepare 40 family dinners, representing approximately 160 individual portions, throughout November.

The Farm to Family Philosophy

Known for its thoughtfully sourced ingredients and relationships with over 75 regional farmers, Harvest Seasonal Grill is extending its hospitality directly into the community.

“Harvest has always been about more than what we put on a plate. It is about where our food comes from, the people who grow it, the communities we serve, and bringing people together around the table," said Dave Magrogan, owner of Harvest Seasonal Grill. "If we can use those resources to make life a little easier for a family going through a difficult time, that is exactly what we should be doing."

To protect recipients' privacy and dignity, Harvest will not accept applications or determine financial need. Instead, the restaurant’s nonprofit partners will independently identify the families who could most benefit from the program. Each family will receive the meals packaged with simple reheating instructions and a personal note from the culinary team, remaining completely anonymous unless they choose to share their story.

Participating Locations and Community Partners

Three restaurants are teaming up with four local partners to execute the initiative across the region:

  • Glen Mills, PA: Partnering with the Greenhouse Project—a faith-based organization operating licensed recovery houses, peer-led coaching, and urban renewal outreach in Delaware County—and the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry, which provides nutritious food and compassionate care to citizens living under the weight of poverty.
  • Newtown, PA: Partnering with New Britain Food Pantry, a 100% volunteer-powered organization dedicated to providing access to nutritious food in a welcoming, respectful environment.
  • Moorestown, NJ: Partnering with Legacy Treatment Services, a massive regional provider that operates more than 70 programs across 21 New Jersey counties. The nonprofit offers a full continuum of behavioral health and social services, ranging from crisis intervention and outpatient therapy to therapeutic foster care and developmental disability services.

How Restaurant Guests Can Help

While the restaurant group handles meal preparation and distribution, Harvest guests will also be invited to join the effort.

Throughout November, partnering restaurants will feature on-site links that allow diners to donate directly to the nonprofit partnered with their local Harvest location. One hundred percent of these guest donations will go directly to the organizations, ensuring that the GIVE. LOVE. SERVE. initiative extends well beyond the families receiving the immediate meal assistance.

"This isn't about asking a family to explain why they need help," added Magrogan. "It's simply about being a good neighbor. We want families to enjoy dinner together, and we want them to know there are people in their community who care."
