A.kitchen launches “Vineyl Nights” Wine Series

PHILADELPHIA - Vineyl Nights is tapping distributors, brands, sommeliers, and beverage directors from Philly and beyond that have helped shape a.kitchen’s award-winning wine list; guests will helm a mini takeover of the wine list for the evening. Think chill, happy hour vibes, and an approachable way to enjoy excellent wine.

A.kitchen launches “Vineyl Nights” Wine Series

Each event will feature four to six-bottle selections hand-picked by the guest, available by the glass, and a playful menu of bar snacks from Executive Chef Eli Collins. Hosted by a.kitchen’s Beverage and Service Director Frank Kinyon, the cork in Vineyl Night is that there will be a turntable brought in to spin records for the evening (hence the name - get it, like vinyl?!). The food menu will feature A - and B-side snacks, including dishes like Pork Jowl Bouchon, Sweet Breads with Mustard Greens + Boursin, and Lamb Sausage Patty Melt.

The series kicks off with Le Bouchon Imports’ (known for an incredible portfolio of natural wines) Russ Israel on Tuesday, January 31st, from 5-7 PM. The wine list will feature a selection of wine from Jose Pastor’s Selections, which is seen as the authority on natural Spanish wine, for guests to enjoy by the glass. No reservations are needed; guests can pop in!

The series is just picking up steam, and we’ve locked in the following dates:

  • February 28 - Jim Nolan / Vine Street Imports
  • March 27 - Ken Schindler (The Artisan’s Cellar)
  • April 25 - Eti Emokpae (Skurnik Wines)
