Celebrate International Beer Day at Square 1682

PHILADELPHIA - My Local Brew Works (MLBW),  Frankford’s newest custom nano-brewery is specializing in contract brewing, special events, and direct-to-public sales, is bringing a spate of all-new brews to Square 1682, the modern American restaurant and award-winning bar located on 17th and Sansom Streets, for complimentary beer samplings, a meet-and-greet with the award-winning brewers, bottles for sale, and more, on Friday, August 5 in honor of International Beer Day.


Celebrate International Beer Day at Square 1682

Tim Montague and Wayne Humphrey, Co-Founders of MLBW and award-winning home brewers, will be on-site at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar from 5 – 6 pm for “Beer Hour,” a riff; on the posh hotel’s traditional “Wine Hour.” Imbibers can expect free samples of Saison De Printemps (7.3% ABV), Belgian-style Farmhouse Ale, Johann (4.3% ABV), and Vienna-style lager while having the opportunity to chat all things beer-related with the brewers.

Following, My Local Brew Works will pour tastings of both Saison De Printemps and Johann behind the bar at Square 1682 from 6 – 7 pm for guests to enjoy during the recently expanded and revamped happy hour or to pair with dinner. In addition to samples, those interested can purchase 22 oz. Bottles of the styles listed above, as well as 12 oz. bottles of signature styles of craft beer, Pigeons Punching Penguins (6% ABV), West Coast Cold IPA, and Bière De Maurice (6.3% ABV), Belgian-style Pale Ale.

The hyper-local brews will be available for purchase (while supplies last) at the Square 1682 bar starting on Friday, August 5.
