Owner Doug Hager and the entire Brauhaus team are back with their first giant street festival in nearly three years. The South Street staple and Philadelphia's award-winning German restaurant had planned to bring back their block party last month, but Mother Nature had other plans. Now, the team is ready to bring back EVERY single thing you have been missing, including:
- Giant pop-up Biergarten with seating for 1,000 people
- Authentic German food and beers
- The giant 40 foot tall Maypole with colorful ribbons visible from blocks away
- Performances by the United German Hungarian Dancers
- Live oompah music from The Heimatklänge band
- Face painting
- Flower crown making
- Liter lift competition
- Games for all ages
- VIP tickets with special access to Brauer Bund Bierhall
It wouldn't be a party without the authentic German cuisine Brauhaus is known for, including traditional offerings from Chef Mason Nash that will include currywurst, roast pork, bacon wurst, and of course, Brats and Pretzels! From the bar, look for 13 different beers from Kölsch to Hefeweizens, Pilsners, Kellerbiers, and even Spring Bocks! The event is free to attend with food and drink pay-as-you-go.
