Stina Mediterranean BYO In South Philly

PHILADEPHIA - After a two-year build-out to get every detail right, Stina opened in 2019 as Philadelphia's restaurant with a social mission. After the doors opened, Chef and the restaurant quickly received numerous accolades from The Philadelphia Caller and  Philly Bite Magazine.

Stina Mediterranean BYO In South Philly

Stina was named one of the top 50 best restaurants in Philadelphia, and a food critic called Chef's octopus dish the best in the city. Before Stina even got to celebrate its first anniversary, COVID19 hit the restaurant industry, and Stina was closed for over four months. Now, nearly a year later, Stina is on the active road to recovery with outdoor dining, beautiful steetery, take-out, and delivery.

Just in time for summer, things are looking up for the eclectic and mission-driven BYO. The sidewalk and street scene has never been stronger. The duo has designed and built an outdoor streetery that extends their indoor dining room and its many charms. And with that, the husband-wife team are actually extending a piece of themselves and their very own home a few blocks away that the indoor dining room is modeled after. For each patron who passes by and takes a seat, there is that warm, inviting, and familiar vibe ready to greet them.

For this weekend, both the anniversary and honor of the nearby Philadelphia Flower Show, the streetery is looking extra colorful and festive. The chef decorated the streetery top to bottom and was named a finalist in the Philadelphia Flower Show city-wide competition. In fact, the timing of the contest and the Flower Show couldn't have been better paired with Stina's anniversary. Kallas-Saritsoglou said, "The streetery outside Stina has never looked more beautiful. We invite everyone to make it a day to remember in South Philly. Head to the first-ever outdoor version of the Philadelphia Flower Show, then make it a day in our neighborhood by stopping to celebrate with Bobby's amazing cooking, lots of beer, and of course, live music. The planets couldn't have aligned any better for a terrific celebration."
