Chadds Ford, PA – The Brandywine Battlefield Park Associates would like to announce the resumption of their Revolutionary Speaker Series presentations at Brandywine Battlefield Park on September 20, 2022, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Our first speaker will be Michael Idriss, the African American Interpretive Fellow at the Museum of the American Revolution.  Michael’s presentation will look at the creation of the Museum of the American Revolution, which is celebrating its five-year anniversary.  He will also answer the following questions: Where did the Museum’s collection come from? How did an Episcopal minister in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, acquire Washington’s war tent, and what did that acquisition have to do with the American Civil War? How did the Museum end up in downtown Philadelphia? What new discoveries have been made from recent acquisitions? This presentation will also highlight key artifacts and reveal how things work behind the scenes at the Museum.

After the presentation, guests can visit the Park’s exhibit gallery and enjoy some light refreshments.  Tickets are $20.00 per person and are available on Eventbrite Revolutionary Speaker Series.
