PHILADELPHIA, PA – This November marks the 20th anniversary of El Vez, a cornerstone of Philadelphia’s dining culture and an iconic representation of Mex-Eclectic charm. Founded on November 7, 2003 by Stephen Starr’s STARR Restaurants, El Vez quickly became one of the city’s most beloved dining destinations.

To commemorate this milestone, El Vez will kick-off the celebrations on Tuesday, November 7th with a strolling mariachi band from 5:30 pm to 6:15 pm. The party will continue with a weekend-long celebration on Friday and Saturday featuring world-renowned performers El Vez + El Vettes. On Friday, guests can meet and greet Elvis himself from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm while listening to a curated playlist featuring music from Elvis and El Vez. On Saturday, guests can enjoy live performances by El Vez + El Vettes from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm as well as returning menu favorites including steak nachos, sea bass tacos, Camerones Al Ajillo and featured cocktail Tangerine Dream. There will also be limited-edition merchandise available for purchase including baseball t-shirts, shot glasses, lighters, magnets and a bottle opener keychain.

“El Vez stands as a testament to Stephen Starr’s visionary approach to the restaurant industry," said Starr. “It warms my heart to see how it's not only become a staple in Philadelphia's dining culture but has also maintained its unique character throughout the years."
