Two Unique Events Designed for All Ages

This year's Hand to Hand Festival offers audiences two ways to experience the magic of contemporary circus. First, prepare to be enchanted as Circadium's talented students take the stage in Begin Again (May 31 - June 1), an original production exploring the nature of time and the artist's journey. Witness breathtaking feats of juggling, aerial artistry, acrobatics, clowning, and more in a show that will leave you questioning the limits of the possible.

Then, on June 2, Test Flights gives you a sneak peek at the future of Philly's circus scene! This showcase features works-in-progress from some of the city's most exciting established artists, who blend circus disciplines with theater, dance, and other art forms in daring new ways.

"We're pushing the boundaries of contemporary circus with this year's festival," says Shana Kennedy, Executive Director of Circadium. "We're especially thrilled to have Oregon-based Artistic Director Ty Vennewitz creating an original work for our students, inspired by the book 'Einstein's Dreams.'"

"The Hand to Hand Festival is a joyous celebration of the artistry and athleticism that defines contemporary circus," adds Mikaela Boone, Programming Manager & Artistic Producer at FringeArts. "This festival invites families and audiences of all ages to experience the wonder of circus together."
